Appendix 15: Entrance floor examples
Entrance floor is defined as a floor where a significant incoming traffic is expected. All such floor
must be configured as entrance floors.
Rules for configuring entrance floor.
1. There is always at least one entrance floor.
2. If there is only one entrance floor, the main floor (1-1) must always be set.
3. If there are two entrance floors, main (1-1) and secondary main floor (1-69) must be set.
4. If there are three or more entrance floors, main (1-1) and secondary main floor (1-69) must
be set. In addition, highest (8-5) and lowest entrance floors (8-4) must be set.
5. If highest and lowest entrance floor must be set, they must include the main and secondary
main floors, and any additional entrance floor.
Entrance floor parameters in LCE UI:
Main floor 1-1
Second main floor 1-69
Lowest entrance floor 8-4
Highest entrance floor 8-5
Here are some examples of four correctly configured entrance floors:

Case 1: Only one entrance floor in the group, at floor 1. Set the main floor to 1.
Case 2: Two entrance floors, the most important entrance in 2, a second entrance at 1. Set the
main floor to 2 and the second main floor to 1.
Case 3: Three entrance floors (2 to 4), the most important in 2, the second most important at 3, the
third at 4. Set main to 2, second to 3, and lowest–highest to 2–4.
Case 4: Four entrance floors (1 to 4) the most important in 3, the second most important at 2, to
more entrances at 1 and 4. Set main to 3, second to 2, and lowest–highest to 1–4.
